Jenny Yoo: What Brides Paid
30 prices reported at Jenny Yoo run a median $750, from $200 to $4,000. That sits below the $850 median across every route in this dataset. Separately, 23 brides described what the shop was like to deal with, and 96% of them recommend it.
What brides paid
Every row is one bride: what she paid for the gown, what the tailoring came to when she reported it, and the year.
| Gown | Tailoring | Year | The account |
|---|---|---|---|
| $200 | – | 2026 | A 1200 gown bought unworn in the designer's own website sample sale. Same bride resold a 2000 Stella York she never wore for 500 on Facebook Marketplace. |
| $260 | – | 2016 | Convertible style the bride wants for 10 maids; matching belt priced on top and no alterations counted yet |
| $300 | – | 2026 | Ankle-length little white dress; landed just under $300 after a 20% mailing-list coupon. Whole LWD line sits below $500. |
| $350 | – | 2026 | Ankle-length gown from the designer's little-white-dress line, a cheaper line sitting under a bridal label |
| $400 | $700 | 2026 | Jenny Yoo sample sale gown; alterations about 700; wedding two weeks away |
| $500 | – | 2025 | The Priscilla gown, also bought at the Anthropologie sample sale |
| $600 | – | 2025 | A white bridesmaid-style dress; the measurement size came too big, she returned it and sized down and then needed no alterations. |
| $700 | $700 | 2026 | Jenny Yoo sample sale, regularly 3600 pre-tax; about 700 in alterations at Tailored by Ornela |
| $1,000 | $300 | 2026 | Dream Jenny Yoo dress bought on sale |
| $1,100 | – | 2026 | Jenny Yoo bride; says the label priced far below the couture names other brides were quoting |
| $1,200 | – | 2026 | Jenny Yoo dress at 1200 |
| $1,200 | – | 2022 | Was prepared to spend 3000; expects only a hem |
What brides recommend it for
- NYC showroom measured her and ordered the nearest stock size, so it could have been done online. Only a hem and a take-in at the sides. A few gowns under $1,500, non-bridal whites for a couple of hundred, and site filters that will not sort by price.
- Her elopement dress is from the little white dress collection: knee, tea or ankle length, $200-$500, sized like normal clothes rather than small bridal sizes.
- Under $600 for a white bridesmaid dress; ordering by body measurement came out too big, she returned and sized down and then needed no alterations at all.
- The Lucinda, listed as a reception dress rather than a wedding gown, cost 345 and fit out of the box; only alteration was 100 to close the centre slit.
- Priced the little white dress and micro-wedding categories herself; nearly everything sits under $1,000, but the shapes are simpler and less full.
- Little white dress line all under $500 and cut in plus sizes; a 20% signup coupon took hers under $300. Showrooms in New York and Chicago.
- Bought the same Lucinda for a beach elopement two years later and asked for the same centre-slit alteration; calls it the best decision.
- Chose the 2k gown over the 4k one at her showroom; loved the dress and found the appointment free of the pressure she met at other shops
- Gown plus veil for under a $2,000 budget and a good showroom experience; alterations came to $1,200 on top, which she says to plan for.
- August sale price of $1,200 plus $150 for split sizing between bust and hip; fit well enough straight off that she skipped alterations.
What brides warn about
- Also ordered split sizing but the gown still came an inch or two loose all over and needs tailoring, partly after losing 5-10 lbs.
How it compares
The median across every route in this dataset is $850, a bridal salon runs $1,900, and secondhand sits lower again. A shop is worth judging against the route it belongs to rather than against the whole market, which is what the where-to-buy page sets out.
