What brides recommend it for

What brides warn about

• Impressed by her 400 dress though not on the level of David's Bridal or Anthropologie; likes the try-on programme with free returns but has heard questionable things about their custom sizing, so she ordered a standard size to alter.
• Her favourite style was not offered for home try-on in any size, but it was 60% off at $199 so she gambled, sized up and booked a local tailor. Other styles she liked were available to try.
• The route she suggests for seven identical dresses, with free shipping and a discount on a bulk order, but each parent still has to measure and the dresses need distributing.
• Spent a month trying to find a dupe of a $2,000 David's gown and came close, but the structure was not the same and it read as a cheap knockoff once she knew the original.
• Dresses under 500 had no structure and would need extra alteration work; over 500 they had real boning and an internal corset. She still chose a bridal shop gown instead.
